The curtain rises once again as Akane-banashi Season 2 has been greenlit for production, covering the anticipated "Zenza Shugyo" (Apprentice Training) arc. Scheduled to premiere in January 2027 on TV Asahi's "IMAnimation" block, the series will feature a powerhouse voice cast including Houchu Otsuka, bringing the high-stakes world of Rakugo back to the small screen. Alongside the announcement, a new promotional video and a commemorative illustration by character designer Kie Tanaka were released to celebrate the sequel.
